I had the same issue with my 2018 F-150 5.0 Platinum. In the settings I changed the alarm set up. That fixed the alarm from randomly going off but the latch ajar message still would come up. I ended up getting the latch replaced. Now my engine seized & I need a new engine at only 45k miles. My 2011 F-250 with 135k miles had no major issues.After spraying in the span of 30 minutes it triggered twice. So I went out.. removed the latch and the positive battery terminal and closed the hood.
