mile marker 15009-01 socket is the correct socket. Since we have the same rear axle as a F250/350 1999-2004, a socket that is listed for those trucks will work for ours. You have to torque it so that it requires 15 ft-lbs of torque to rotate the pinion shaft. The force required to rotate the pinion is in-lbs, NOT ft-lbs!!!
