Well if using an Xbox controller you just have to have the tape in your inventory- not just in a backpack, then you press LB to switch focus and use the dpad to select the media player part of the TV and then press B and it will give you the option to load whatever tapes you have in your inventory.It is most likely not Windows related. Go to C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid. Open the console.txt. Click "Create a new paste". Share the website link of the new paste here. Zomboid handles controller and "keyboard and mouse mode" completely differently. Advanced trajectory is a good example of this. You either quit and change your mode to KBM, or youre stuck with controller aiming regardless of your actual input mode on steam deck.I play using the controller for the most part, there are several annoyances but its totally playable from the couch if you keep your mouse nearby. I only need the keyboard for renaming containers.. I hope that comes to the xbox controller somehow as well. Works for most, and has an automatic portforward workaround so there is no worry for that.
