43 posts · Joined 2005. #1 · Nov 28, 2007. 38000mi 2005 Dodge Durango Limited w/ Hemi, many mods - exhaust, intake, shift kit, rims, you name it. Love it. Sounds mean as hell. But the STALLING! ugh - read on... RPM's would consistently fade below 500 upon deceleration (i.e. slowing for turns, traffic lights, etc.), shudder and then stall.I have a 2005 Durango 5.7, 181,000+ miles. Runs good. Occasionally the starter cranks, but the engine won't fire. sometimes if I tap the accelerator pedal it will start. May go for days & start fine. On Nov 12th I was parked on an incline & it took several tries before it would fire. Finally fired but the died.Nov 9, 2019 · Intermittent no start. Just wondering if anyone has the same issue. You need fuel, spark, and compression to run. So, you are missing a least one. Have you tried battery reset to see if taking all of the systems back to zero helps? Disconnect negative cable, depress brake pedal 30 seconds, then reconnect and see what happens.
