The Glock 33 round magazine is a composite steel and polymer fabrication. Sometimes referred to as a Glock "Happy Stick.". The extended capacity magazine is only available in 9mm. The mag encases a toughened and hardened steel insert in layer of Polymer 2. Glock polymer 2 was invented by Glock. This is a high strength nylon-based polymer.The biggest similarities when looking at the Glock 26 vs 19 are that they are both chambered in 9mm and are double stack pistols. Thus, their widths are virtually the same. The Glock 26 can use all double-stack Glock magazines, including magazines designed for the Glock 19. If you wanted to get crazy, you could even put a 33 round mag in a G26.Glock (factory) 33 round 9mm mags are very convenient at the range, and I’ve never had one malfunction with 1000’s of rounds through them. I’d say there’s no need. It’s cool but weighs a lot when full and isn’t quite the same w/o the fun switch on the 18.
