The only way to get tree branches in the game is through foraging. You won’t need any skill levels or experience in foraging to get tree branches for foraging. Each time your character gets tree branches from foraging they will receive 1-3 pieces in their inventory. Read on to find out what you can craft with tree branches.A cooking pot can be filled with water from a water source, producing a cooking pot with water. To fill a cooking pot: Right-click on a water source and "Refill Cooking Pot". It can hold the equivalent of 25 mugs of water. It is an alternative storage space for water to water bottles, and is automatically drunk by the player to satiate thirst.Collect 1 Plank or Tree Branch and a sharp knife. Open up the crafting menu by pressing the B key or selecting the icon on the top left. Head to the Survivalist tab. Find Create Spear from the list or search for it in the search bar at the top. Select the option Craft One and wait for your character to finish crafting the spear.

Honestly that's really odd. There's a lot of factors that go into the new foraging system and if you're not finding anything it may be because of panic, stress, depression, light levels, fog levels, rain, and/or zoning. As a level 4 forager I was able to consistently get 1-2 veggies a day, 1-2 logs a day, 8-25 twigs a day and 2-6 insects a day.
