Mossberg does sell a version of the Shockwave with an 18" barrel for those states that have state SBS laws that would make the Shockwave with a 14" barrel an SBS there. Random bit of info, as I have a shockwave I plan on making a sbs from. After measuring, the 14 in barrel shockwave would be exactly as long as my 16 in barrel mini-14 with a regular stock put in it. It would make it a much better handling shotgun than an 18 inch shotgun but just a big as a regular 16 inch no stamp needed rifle. The Fostech Origin was reclassified as a SBS due to the vertical foregrip making it intended for two handed operation. The brace wasn't the issue.
