I have followed the instructions on resetting the compass, but when I press the setup button with the ignition on, the COMPASS never …On my 2012 CR-V LX, the D letter is intermittently flashing on the instrument cluster when I'm driving. When this happens my backup camera activates and stays on until I stop and restart the car. The transmission appears to be working fine and I do not get a CEL or codes that I can see with my $10 OBD reader.

The 2002 crv that I worked on for my sister in law had a very intermittent blinking d and the code I captured was for a bad third shift pressure switch. When I researched this problem online it seemed that this issue was fairly common on the crv.I cleared the P0845 code with a scanner and drove for a few days and the code did not come back. I guess the P0845 code for my car was due to dirty transmission fluid. The one with the flashing D is for the actual sensor. And the code needs to be manually reset.
