Ford escape shudder problem
The contact owns a 2010 Ford Escape. The contact stated that the gears would shift hard and long. The failure occurred intermittently. When the gear was shifted into reverse and then back to drive, the vehicle would shake violently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who rebuilt the transmission.Escape transmission shudder. My problem, since is is apparently fixed now, was never caused by transmission fluid being cooked. Since new, this vehicle has done nothing but leasurly back-woods driving. $40Miles round trip to work, no stop and go, and the few trips we took with it were no more that 350 miles one way.
