Dec 20, 2023 · GD won't open, (SOLUTION) If GD doesn't open when updating, you need to go to your file explorer, where you should find 2 folders for Geometry Dash, one called "Resources" and the other called "Geometry Dash." 1.--Go into the "Geometry Dash" folder. Once there, you have to delete all the images there EXCEPT for the "Resources" folders and the ".dll" files. i had the same issue and i figured it out how to fix it if you have game installed then you need to locate the game in your steam library and right click it after that press properties then go to installed files location and press browse i right top corner then you need to go to common folder which is located at top of search bar in file explorer and locate the geometry dash folder (Geometry ...

EDIT: Ok, so I did what Robtop saud and when I tried to open geometry dash it did a very small update (don't know if that was because I renamed the files or because there actually was an update). When it was done and I tried to open it, same as always, literally nothing happened at all.
