Hey chief... stringer is dead on. The 800's are well known to be cold-blooded... they take a long time to warm up. There is nothing unusual about that, but there are a couple of things you can do about it, the first of which is replace the stock air filter with a K&N, that single change was a huge benefit for me.If the engine has problems between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle, the jet needle and needle jet (most likely the jet needle) is likely the problem. If the engine is running poorly at 3/4 to full throttle, the main jet is the likely problem. Fingers are crossed - but at least after this I know I will have all of the carby puzzle pieces. ….
