Project zomboid build 42 release date
The blog post told us the NPC update is build 43. 42 is a misc update with some new features, but nothing immensely big. Keep in mind that although build 40-41 took a full year or so, they claim that this was only due to the complete rewrite it basically required of the game. The hope is that builds 42-43-44 and onward will not take nearly as long.When? Players can only guess. Nobody knows when. Yep the game hasn't gotten any updates since 20th december 2021. The last update was December 12th, 2022. That's when we were done with 41 and had all hands on deck for 42. Yeah but that's not realistic if you want to keep a community as a whole invested in a game, the market is constantly growing and if you're taking 3 years to release just one update that is going to lead to bad habits in a company IMO.A quick heads-up on the forthcoming 41.66 patch and further details on our plans for Build 42. ….

If we were going to get B42 for Christmas then we would have received it probably on the 14th or the 7th.The devs don't want to put it out there crawling with bugs. More than that, right now some of the new features aren't complete. Based on the comments that have been made on Reddit it's most likely coming next year, and probably before we're close to the end of next year.
