I had this issue on my Durango with 14 miles on it. Turned out under the shifter assembly and center console, there are dual ground eyelets. Mine were not tightend to spec. Tech put on a scanner, with in 1 hour had the issue solved and tightend the eyelets to the ground bolt.The rotary shifter was then locked in park but I was unable to remove my key. It now sits in the driveway with the keys in the ignition, accessory power on, and I'm unable to lock the doors. ... 2016 Ram 1500, 5.7, 8sp, 4x4 w/ auto Rotary shifter, 52k miles, powertrain warranty is in effect. Disconnect the shifter linkage/cable and shift the gears on the trans just to make sure its not something on your valve body thats stuck. If thats fine make sure your brake switch is working, if it somehow moved then it wont release the switch to release the lock. ….
