Ruger security 9 slide stuck
Security 9 Magazine Issues. I purchased the Security 9 a month or two ago. The firearm itself has worked great for me, no issues with any ammo I have tried (Sellier & Bellot, Blazer Brass, Winchester White Box, American Eagle, hand loads). However, the magazines have been giving me quite a bit of trouble.The Lite Rack Ruger .380 runs about 10 pounds. This isn’t a difficulty for most shooters. The slide is nicely finished with generous rear cocking serrations and small but useful forward cocking serrations. The sights are excellent by any standard for personal defense. The rear sight is adjustable for windage.

Feb 14, 2014 · The issue is, basically, if I hand cycle the slide and ease it forward, the slide will get stuck about 1/8" out of battery. I then can push the slide forward the rest of the way. Like I said, it doesn't affect live firing, but the P89 I owned in the past wouldn't get stuck out of battery when doing this, so I wonder how normal this is. Possibly call local gun smith. Hold slide. Slam palm onto grip. Repeat. it could be the round stuck that's preventing the slide from moving. If you can press on the extractor (releasing case) while pulling the slide back, you may get it to move.
